Eagle Bay

Rather that just saying “here’s a shot i took at eagle bay”, i’m going to attempt to explain how I got from the original to the finished version.

I used Photomatix to give a HDR effect, and then blended it with the original so only the clouds were HDR. Everything else just looked fake. After that, the image wasn’t doing much for me, so I swapped it into Black & White mode and gave it a panoramic crop. And there’s my riveting explanation!

Exams are over so I’m back to photography again. This is my first shot at using Photomatix software, which is used to create HDR (High Dynamic Range) images (for more information go to this link ).

Less than 6 days until my four week adventure in Nepal. I’m taking a Panasonic Lumix that I have borrowed, (the one the guy skims off the water in that ad). If anyone has any tips on how to photograph mountains, please let me know.
