Annapurna Range

Finally some mountains!

This photo was taken as we reached Annapurna Base Camp (known as ‘ABC’) on a trek from Machhapuchhre Base Camp. We’d been walking for 2 hours in pitch black (with our head torches) and the sun came up over the mountains just as we walked into ABC. Annapurna Base Camp is 4170m above sea level and it was apprximately twenty degrees below when we got up there.
